HP Series-
(caution: spoilers ahead) is about a boy named Harry Potter, who is dropped off at his aunt's house, and is treated poorly
there for a long time, and then is sent to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. There he meets new friends and encounters
Voldemort, the man who has been trying to kill him for many years. Harry later finds out that either Harry will live and Voldemort
will die, Voldemort will live and Harry will die, or they will both perish...
The Davinci Code-
is about Robert Langdon (yet again) who is trying to solve "The Davinci Code". Supposedly, a man knows where the holy grail
is, and others are out to get it, and willing to kill. They go through puzzles made up by Davinci himself through his artwork
which reveals that the holy grail could be anything...
My Name Is Asher Lev- is
about a boy named Asher who has an amazing ability, but is discouraged by his parents to use the gift, given the fact that
being an artist is dishonorable in the Jewish comunity. This is the story of Asher Lev and how his God given talent changed
his life forever.
The Chosen-
Is about a jewish boy, named Reuven who befriends another jewish boy named Dan through very odd circumstances.
Their fathers have different views on how Judaism should be practiced, etc. Dan and Reuven keep their friendship
together through thick and thin, and this is their tale.
The Negotiator-
This story is about a hostage negotiator, how she comes about to follow Christ, fall in love, and uncover a conspiracy.
The Left Behind Series-
I have not totally finished this series, but what I do know is that it is a series based on a translation of the
last book of the Holy Bible...Revelation. I think it's a very good set of novels with a thick plot and great characters.
The Theif Lord-
This novel is about a boy and his brother trying to survive on the streets of Venice, Italy. They ran away from their nasty
guardians. They encounter the "Theif Lord" and their worlds are changed forever.
The Shining-
Is about a boy named Danny who goes to an old hotel for his father's (Jack's) job, along with his mother, Wendy. The hotel
is very evil, and wants something from Danny. They have to stay there for the winter to watch over the hotel. Danny has
a gift called the Shining, which in the end helps him survive the evil that flourishes from the hotel.
